Below is an outline of the information that BuildDirect gathers and how it’s used.
Site visits: Whenever you request a page through your browser, navigation, and clickstream data such as: your IP address, browser and version, operating system, date and time and the site from which you came, the data are stored in a log file and/or database. Any search terms that you enter into the BuildDirect Site Search are also logged. This information is used only for: Website and system administration, anonymous user analysis, and to provide accurate statistics in the form of aggregated data. This information is kept on secure servers owned by BuildDirect. The e-mail addresses collected are not sold or disclosed to any third parties. These addresses will be used only by BuildDirect to send out our company’s communications. The e-mail addresses collected at BuildDirect are stored on a server owned by BuildDirect.
Subscriptions: The e-mail addresses collected from subscribers to BuildDirect’s information announcement lists are used by BuildDirect to send announcements to individuals who requested receiving them. List Removal: You can remove yourself from BuildDirect’s subscription e-mail list at any time by sending an e-mail with “Remove” in the subject line to: customerservice@BuildDirect.com
Surveys: When a survey is conducted by BuildDirect or via the BuildDirect Website, you may be asked to supply some personal information such as your name, e-mail address, and phone number.
