1.Where can I find information about how to best optimize my Web site?
Visit the Improve Your Links section of this Web site. The Improve Your Links pages are full of tips about how to increase traffic and earn more referral fees.

2.How much money do I earn for generating sales through my links?
You earn referral fees when a visitor follows a link from your Web site to BuildDirect and signs up for membership. Your referral is $10.00 per qualified member that signs up successfully for a BuildDirect membership. Please note that we do not pay referral fees for Esource Builders members.

3.Do you notify the IRS or Revenue Canada of the referral fees I earn?
We are legally required to file a T4A form with Revenue Canada, naming the payee as a contractor who has received a taxable amount of income from our company.  We do not issue any tax documents or tax information outside Canada.

4.Do I need a business license to participate?
We do not require you to have a business license to participate in the Affiliates Program.

5.Do you require exclusivity to participate?
We do not require exclusivity for participation in the Affiliates Program.

6.Does the Affiliates Program link back to my Web site?
We do not post outward links from BuildDirect.

7.In my communication with others how may I identify myself as an BuildDirect Affiliate?
You may describe yourself as a participant in the "BuildDirect Affiliates Program." Your communication must clearly and accurately describe the nature of your participation in the BuildDirect Affiliates Program and must not create confusion or misrepresent the nature of your or any other party's participation in Program. You may, without our prior consent, say the following in any non press release communication: that you have become a BuildDirect Affiliate, and/or that you have joined or become a member of the BuildDirect Affiliates Program.

8.What happens if my relationship with the BuildDirect Affiliates Program is misrepresented?
Inaccurate or misleading content in your communications may be materially misleading under Canadian, United States or International Securities laws and the rules and regulations of the Securities and Exchange Commission. Accordingly, BuildDirect may cooperate or notify the Securities and Exchange Commission of inaccurate or misleading content in communications pertaining to BuildDirect Affiliates relationships.

9.May I include a reference to BuildDirect in a press release?
No. You may not include a reference to BuildDirect in any press release with respect to your membership in or your participation in the BuildDirect Affiliates Program.

10.What is your policy on unsolicited commercial e-mail?
To protect the integrity of the reputation of BuildDirect Affiliates as well as the BuildDirect brand name, you may not promote your site via certain forms of indiscriminate advertising, commonly referred to as "spamming." Accordingly, you may not promote your site via unsolicited commercial e-mail, postings to non-commercial newsgroups, or cross-postings to multiple newsgroups at once. In addition, you may not promote your site in any way that effectively conceals or misrepresents your identity, domain name, or return e-mail address.

11.May I notify others via e-mail about my participation in the BuildDirect Affiliates Program?
You may promote your site via mailings to recipients who are already customers or subscribers to your sites' services, provided that the recipients have the option to remove themselves from future mailings. Further, you may promote your site via newsgroup postings that specifically welcome commercial messages (consult the newsgroup FAQ or moderators to be sure that such a message is acceptable in that newsgroup).

12.Can I register multiple URLs on one account?
You may use the same tracking ID for multiple sites. All click-throughs and sales will be treated as having come from a single account. We request that you notify us of each site regardless of which approach you choose, as we must approve each for participation in the BuildDirect Affiliates Program. E-mail Affiliate@BuildDirect.com  with any new URLs you wish use to review.

13.Can I change my Affiliates ID?
We are unable to change the unique Affiliates ID issued to you. It is automatically generated at the time of your application. If you would like a different unique Affiliates ID, then please submit a new application.

15.Once visitors click through my link to BuildDirect, how much time do they have to sign up for a BuildDirect membership before I stop earning referral fees on their purchases?
Typically, as long as the visitor is actively browsing the BuildDirect Web site, any amount of time can pass before they sign up for membership. However, if the customer closes the window or reenters BuildDirect through another Affiliate's link before signing up for membership, then the visitor will not be included towards your referral fees.

16.When do I get paid?
Referral fees are disbursed by check approximately 30 days after the end of the quarter for which they are being paid.
Quarter Calendar:
Q1: January - March Payment sent in late April
Q2: April - June Payment sent in late July
Q3: July - September Payment sent in late October
Q4: October - December Payment sent in late January

17.How do I get paid?
We will pay you referral fees on a quarterly basis. Approximately 30 days following the end of each calendar quarter, we will send you a check for the referral fees earned.
